
The image: Spring is truly remarkable in Appalachia.
It is as if we are in the middle of God's garden. The red buds really
dominate the show with Dogwoods and other wild flowers joining in the chorus.
I hope you enjoy this photograph as it really captures, for me, the beauty of
spring in Appalachia. This photograph is the result of returning to the
same location three times in order to find the right light and composition.
I could see the photograph, but not until the third trip did I see the final
result. This photograph was taken
with the 4x5 camera and the 210mm lens on Velvia film.
