Jeff Ball Landscape Photography:

Huntington Beach State Park, SC

Our family vacationed at Myrtle Beach in the summer of 2003.  I was beginning to work on landscape photography and discovered Huntington Beach State Park via web searches.  It looked like a favorable location for landscape photography.  In 2004 I returned to HBSP with a new lens; the Astro-Physics Traveler on my new Wimberly Gimbal mount.  The main event was the Venus transit, but I also wanted to utilize the 600mm focal length of the Traveler for wildlife and landscape imaging opportunities in the park.  Below are the images all taken with the AP Traveler/Wimberly Gimbal and Canon 10D.  The digital camera aids in compensating for fixed f ratio of the scope at f6 and no autofocus.  I hope you enjoy the images.
