Customer Testimonial from Andy
Hi Jeff,
I received the Horsehead/Orion Nebula print in the mail a couple of week ago
(I bought it from you at the Green Bank Starquest). Thanks for sending it along.
It really is absolutely amazing. I've been looking at astrophotographs for
decades, and I'd have to say yours are probably the best I've ever seen. I was
just perusing your web site, and I really appreciate seeing all the information
you provide for each picture. I just recently bought some "real" equipment, and
will be trying my hand at astrophotography. If I get results one tenth as good
as yours, I'll be thrilled.
Keep up the great work!
Regards,
Andy

This print is of the area just below the
famous belt of Orion. It is an area full of gas and dust and star
formation within the Milky Way. The colors are representative of the
various spectrum being emitted by the gases in the nebulae. The Orion
nebula, for many, is the first deep sky object they will see with either the naked
eye or binoculars. The print is made with ultrachrome inks on luster
paper. Many fine details are only visible in the print itself versus on
the monitor. I think Andy sums up the quality of the print in his comments
in the left frame:
