The Paramount Arts Center is a very special piece of architecture in Ashland, KY.  The center opened in 1931 as a movie theater and has been transformed into a wonderful stage for music, theater, and dance.  The main hall is a treasure for the eye to take in with intricate wall murals, golden leaf painting, and striking red patterns.  The ceiling is a muted green with golden accents.  The centerpiece is the stage area with its ornate carvings high above the stage floor.
