San Juan River Limited Edition Portfolio
A few quick details about the portfolio:

  • The portfolio includes 16 custom printed fine art images with the highest quality of workmanship available today
  • These images were selected from thousands taken during my two trips on the river (October 2005 and May 2006)
  • Each print is custom matted in an archival Museum Mat with Museum backing board
  • Each print is hand signed and numbered
  • Each print is separated by interleaving tissue to preserve the quality of the presentation for years to come
  • Each portfolio comes with a pair of cotton gloves to hold the matted prints and preserve the quality of the mats for future generations
  • The portfolio case is hand-made by the same folks who make portfolio cases for the Ansel Adams Trust as well as for John Sexton.  This is an extremely high quality portfolio box and is a joy to hold and view by itself!
  • The portfolio will be a very limited production of 50 total portfolios.  Once the 50 portfolios are sold this portfolio will be retired
  • The case has an 11x14 inner size to accommodate the 11x14 mats.  The prints vary in size, but are roughly 8x10 with the exception of the panoramic images.  I just love this portfolio size as it is a very convenient size to hold and display and makes a wonderful visual presentation of the artwork.
  • Now you can customize the look of the portfolio by selecting the image you want for the cover!  See images below.
  • As with all of my artwork, the portfolio comes with a 100% Money Back Guarantee-there is no risk to you.  I am confident you will not just be satisfied, but you will be ecstatic with the quality of the portfolio
  • more details to follow with photographs and video, but don't delay, sign up for the portfolio today with no obligation.  Simply email me or join the mailing list and select "san juan" as your interest category to hold your place in the queue.

The San Juan river and canyon are truly natural treasures in the United States.  Offering the traveler some of the world's finest archeological sites, incredible light within the canyon, and geological wonders that reveal some of Earth's turbulent history.  What I recall from the visual beauty of the canyon is the special light that occurs when the canyon walls reflect direct sunlight into the shadows on the opposite canyon wall; creating a reddish-orange glowing canyon wall soaring a thousand feet overhead that warms the soul.

The San Juan River is also home to some of the world's finest archeological sites.  The rock art and dwellings of ancient civilizations are abundant and easily reached with short to moderate hikes from the river.  Our river company, Wild River Expeditions, provides river guides who are experts in both the geology and archeology of the region.  Their teachings gave the trips more impact and meaning and aided in developing my photographic approach to the area.

This portfolio will be building over the next few months as images are optimized for print and presentation.  The images below help to tell the story of the San Juan River and Canyon.  It is a very special place in the U.S. and is worthy of our most sincere contemplation on matters of balancing our economic vs. stewardship obligations.  The trips were part of Alain and Natalie Briot workshops.  I encourage you to revisit this webpage frequently to view new additions to the portfolio and to get a sense of the beauty of the San Juan River and Canyon.

Gallery Owners:  The portfolio is available for display as individually framed prints in your fine art gallery.  The portfolio will be on display exclusively in my galleries at Pendleton Art Center in Ashland, KY for a few months.  Please contact me if you would like to schedule the portfolio for your gallery in the near future.  More details and photographs to come soon.
