The image: The Monongahela National Forest is a treasure
within the state of West Virginia. Tea Creek is near to the Williams River
with access via the Highland Scenic Highway. As I scrambled through the
brush to the creek, I heard a muffled growl from the forest boundary. The
photograph was taken with the 4x5 camera. I did not linger under the
focusing cloth as I was on constant lookout for a huge black bear to come out of
the woods to protect her young cub. But, I did survive the ordeal, wet
pants and all. I hope you enjoy the image as it really captures for me the
scenery in the Williams River area.
The print: The print is made with Epson ultrachrome
inks on a beautiful 100% cotton rag paper, Moab Entrada Natural. The paper
is acid free and totally archival for long term enjoyment. It is a gorgeous
mat paper that accentuates the details of the print and really pops with the
vibrant green, orange, and yellow colors in the print. The print and mat board are
hand signed. The mat is a double mat. The print and mat are hinge mounted to an acid free foam
core board and then packaged in a clear photographic bag. The foam core
